Mauricio Pochettino defended ‘Protestant’ Nicola Jackson.

According to European soccer transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano, Pochettino said, “Jackson is fantastic. He will always have my support. He is doing amazing things for the team. He runs, scores, and helps. The first said, “It’s not easy to do that during a season. Jackson is fighting for the team and will no doubt be better next season.”

Jackson is a Senegalese striker. He is 187 cm tall and boasts agile movements and excellent athletic abilities to match the Africans. He has excellent speed for his height, and he often uses it to penetrate the space behind him. He has good off-ball movement and the ability to connect through simple passes.

Growing up in the home league, he moved to Villarreal in 2019 and made his European debut. He gained experience through different age groups and made his professional debut on loan to CD Mirandes in the 2020-21 season. At the time, he played in 16 league matches, scoring one goal and one assist, and making his debut in Villarreal in the 2021-22 season.

He has established himself as a regular starting member from the 2022-23 season. He has 26 league appearances, scored 12 goals and four assists, and received attention from Chelsea.

There were also expectations from Chelsea. As an authentic striker, she was responsible for the team’s attack and earned the nickname “the next Drogba” due to her good performance during the pre-season.

His performance this season alone is not bad. He has 13 goals and five assists in 37 matches, including the Cup championships. However, his performance itself is not satisfactory. He was particularly criticized for failing to complete several important scoring opportunities. In the last English FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City, he had three clear scoring opportunities but failed to score a single goal.

Despite this, Pochettino has shown confidence in his student body. He believes that Jackson is contributing to his team in many ways, not just a goal, and he is confident that he will get better next season.
