“Isn’t it your hometown?”

Godfather Manny Machado has revealed his expectations for the Seoul Series.

Machado, the “leader” of the San Diego Padres of the U.S. Major League Baseball, attended an official press conference for the Seoul Series held at Gocheok Sky Dome on the 16th. He shared his feelings about participating in the two consecutive games against the Los Angeles Dodgers with star players Fernando Tatis Jr. and Xander Bogaerts. San Diego will hold the opening two consecutive games against the Dodgers at Gocheok Sky Dome on the 20th and 21st. This is the first official Major League opening game to be held in Korea.

Machado, who arrived in Korea on the 15th, had a great time at a youth clinic attended by Korean baseball dreamers before starting his first training session on the 16th. Although he is not fully jet-lagged, he is enjoying a trip to Korea while sightseeing.

Machado said, “The trip was a long one. But isn’t it Kim Ha-sung’s hometown? It was fun to see his anticipation. I’m glad to be able to host the opening match in Seoul.” In the U.S., Kim has maintained a close relationship with the leader, Machado. Machado always takes good care of Kim.

Regarding his participation in the youth clinic, Machado said, “There were a lot of good players. It must have been a great experience for Kim. Spending time with young players meant a lot. I also met the president of Yoon Suk Yeol and it was a great experience. I will never forget it.”

Machado said of his condition, “I slept well on the plane. But when I arrived, I actually stayed up all night last night. Still, I took a nap and my condition is better than yesterday. I want to do some sightseeing, so I think I should make good use of my time.” 안전놀이터
